Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-1767 (?)
- SCP-1767 is a severely injured aquatic creature, similar to a ray, with a metal helmet crudely attached to its skull. It was found nearly unconscious but clutching a notebook, which revealed it was an agent for an organization called the "Center," whose primary goal was to physically punch dream sharks. The creature, nicknamed "Punch," was designed to enter dreams and fight these sharks, but its journal entries show it developed a relationship with a dream entity named Judy, leading it to question its purpose and eventually escape its original handlers. It is now kept in a special aquarium under constant medical supervision, with its brain heavily damaged.
- Jazz ambassadors (?)
- The "Jazz Ambassadors" program was a Cold War initiative by the U.S. State Department, beginning in 1956, to send prominent American jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, and Duke Ellington on international tours. The goal was to promote American values, such as democracy and freedom, and improve the U.S. image abroad, particularly in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, in response to Soviet criticism regarding racial inequality in America. Despite some musicians, like Louis Armstrong, vocalizing their criticism of racial injustice at home, the program aimed to showcase American cultural diversity and freedom of expression, inadvertently highlighting the nation's internal struggles while also influencing global music and inspiring new compositions from the touring artists.
